Rich, flavorful, and super comforting, this chili hits all the right notes of being satisfying while totally bean-free. The hint of sweetness from the butternut squash balances out the mild heat of the chili spices - it's a perfect balance. Pair it with freshly sliced avocado, guacamole, or sour cream to make this bowl even more hearty and satisfying! This meal is adapted from a reader-favorite recipe in Diane's first book, Practical Paleo.

INGREDIENTS: beef, tomatoes (tomatoes, tomato puree, salt, citric acid - may contain calcium chloride), butternut squash, bell peppers, onion, garlic, coconut oil, chili powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, cinnamon, smoked paprika, chipotle powder, cumin, salt.

Please note: sour cream, avocado, and lime are not included.

A Firm Fav!

This is for sure one of my favorites, I usually pair it with a bed of arugula and some sour cream. So delicious, filling and convenient :-) Love love love these meals!

Warm Flavor

I would order this again even though this isn't my favorite flavor. The main note is the squash is cooked to the perfect level, frozen, and still re-heats to the right firmness. I'm very impressed with that. It's simple and not fussy.

Thanks for that note, Rachel! This was actually something we worked on quite a bit for this recipe! The initial tester had the squash totally incorporated into the chili since it became way too soft when slow cooked and then frozen, etc. So we now roast it separately to add in before portioning out for you!
